Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oooh, Cerrertonia, knees are a nasty thing to heal, difficult to move about without them creaking. Don't pick at it!

I was good with my last knee scab, left it until it was good and ready. Then Instagrammed it when it came off. I've kept it in a little pot. For science.

It's healed up a lot faster than I expected and I've been able to run normally this week. The scab is quite a lot lower than the surrounding skin - like a crater.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I've fallen four times in the last couple of weeks. Luckily three were onto soft surfaces.

Today's was the stupidest. I cut along a short stretch of the grass verge of our main road, trod on a ring of wire, and tripped over the other side of the wire when it was pushed up. Doubtless to the amusement of the one passing car.

Yikes, 57.5 DoP :-o After a full length sprawl at speed, I found a steel hoop that may have come from a car's wheeltrim. Once on my feet, and beside a dual carriageway, I waved it wildly in the air, which was turning quickly blue! :)

I'm lucky most of my spills have been comedy prat-falls, usually into a puddle or wet mud.

I do have a scar on my knee however from last summer when I fell while going full tilt across a field trying to catch up with my mates. Worst of it was, nobody noticed I was missing, or limping, or trying not cry (it bloody hurt!) or the blood seeping through my leggings later.

I'm sure I'll be back before too long...

Nice belly flop last night grazing elbows and chest and bruising knees. Unfortunately I have a 5k prace tomorrow which the knees are not going to enjoy.

I feel over a tree root on my run today about 1km in. My arm hurts.
