I think like NHS appointments that we should just get on with stuff which is allowed and safe on the basis that otherwise there will be huge backlogs

The riskier time will probably be when I go back to collect the new specs and they have to do the fitting bit - I have quite a small head, so there's usually lots of trying on and heating and bending of the arms and trying on again.

We used to have a lovely big one but had to replace it last October. We foolishly opted for a small one as there are only 2 of us. There just isn't enough space in it. I've had to store the weekly veg elsewhere as there is only room for the salad, and most of it is going soft (carrots and swede gone spongy, broccoli soft and yellow, cauliflower is limp) within 3 days and had to be thrown out and I hate the waste So we have moved the old new fridge up to Mr GM's shed and he can put beer and snacks in it when it is bbq weather again and we have a big fridge arriving before lunchtime today. I'm ridiculously excited about this.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
