Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Newt oys are always fun, aren't they Ness :D and yay for digging out the fountain pen, Pix.

I have been using one for making notes in my project bank (and using the fancy 'Death and friends' journal I got myself with Christmas amazon vouchers, in the don't save for best spirit), it makes me find excuses to want to write stuff down.

Just back from ordering new specs at the opticians, it's such a lovely day I even put the top down on the golf to drive up there and back.

Newt variety of tinned soup for lunch. Pea and ham. Dad let me have the pick of his soup stash. He'll have replaced it by 5pm.

After seeing a comment by Chunky Wizard on the 5001 press ups thread, I set my Garmin to log each press up - I didn't know this was possible. It didn't quite work, but I'd been under-estimating how long 30 press ups was taking me. I'll be using this in future to log the time.

GM?

I have used it for strength training in the past and it doesn't count reps that well
I've also set up a session on there before so my watch tells me what task is next which works well

I always think of ears when I come across "lugs". A localish saying, after a hair cut, is that you've had your lugs lowered. I now have visions of trail shoes with ears dropping off!

:) Those were the days, RH.

That's a good idea, EP. I'll use it to record the actual time taken rather than the number of press ups done as it wasn't accurate enough. It stuck on 16 despite me getting to 30!

I used a fountain pen this morning too- looking for a pen on bedside table and it's the first one I found. I should definitely use it more!

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
