Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am so jealous B! I talk to myself a lot! Infact if I’m caught talking to myself in public at the supermarket I may even say out loud ‘and now you’ve been heard talking to yourself in public but don’t worry about it’

I think there are worse things to be caught doing and it really helps me focus if I’m struggling!

A couple of newts to declare- I started a new book today, and, very exciting- we have new neighbours moving in next door. Will pop a card through later on, and probably knock on to introduce ourselves over the weekend.

We'll miss the family that have moved out tho

Yesterday I bought a packet of sweet peas seeds, my newt for today was sowing them, I had been saving empty toilet rolls and for the first time I have used them for the seeds, other newts are having a slice of the simnel cake I made, setting up voicemail on my mobile, returning a call to Boots optician to go through a Covid questionnaire prior to my appointment next week. A newt yet to happen will be putting falafel on my pizza when I make it later, hope I like it :-)

Well done everyone for today’s newts so far, I love new shoes and gadgets :-)

Well - my newt today has turned out to be a massive disappointment. Or rather a non-newt at all. I'm not even sure I'll get a newt for today at this late stage it might have to be going to the Co-op and buying a type of chocolate I haven't had before....... in vast quantities........ :-( I'll probably blog about it later depending on the response I get to an email I have just sent......

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
