Thanks, all. Turns out that happily, the bus driver hadn't got the council's memo. We got Lala dressed up in her school uniform, sent her off to the bus stop (after a Google Maps briefing) and they let her straight on... :)

Good that you found a solution you were comfortable with Dooogs. How are you all doing?

The kids seem all better - so going absolutely stir-crazy. Currently in a three-way fight over whether to watch Peppa Pig, Pokemon or Total Wipeout.

For OH and me, it's like a mild flu that won't go away - a bit like a really bad hangover without the night before to justify it. Not bad enough that we can't masochistically work through it, though. :)

Phew Doogs!

Reading back: thanks guys. I am struggling and have done for the whole of covid. Nice to find some support!

No mask anxiety: drop in oxygen levels for whatever reason tends to send my hr i to overdrive to compensate... Causing dizzyness at best, fainting at worst. Panic, total panic when I found this out last year: Aldi! First shop in something like 8 weeks... Beginning of lockdowns i.e. all new, we knew nothing. I had stayed at home for as long as possible, hoping it would blow over.
Put mask on, go in, get hr issues, have to sit on the floor to stop myself from fainting. Take mask off.
No no noooo! Keep your mask on! Everyone evacuated out of shop. Ambulance arrives. Me: i just need to take my mask off and go outside.
Nonononono! Keep your mask on... Stay where you are.
Ambulance colkeagues arrive. I explain what is wrong.
Nonono! You cannot go outside and take your mask off...
Cannulated, mask on, no oxygen, no ventilation, suspected heart attack, defib on. Red lighted to hospital. Me, muffled through mask, I just need to be in the fresh air without a mask...
NOONE! Absolutely no-one listened to me for 24 hours...
So, you understand, no masks for me since...

It was terrifying!
Totally unnecessary, extremely stressful, car at Aldi carpark clocking up a huge fine, cat and chooks at home without care, me being treated as having a heart attack while all I needed was some fresh air and deep breaths... About 5 minutes of it...
