Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Congrats on those new to the thread.
I think the header is up to date now - please let me know if I miss someone.

RunningFish - OUCH - my pride if wounded - though I'm basking in a new 5km (run PB) at the moment, so I can let you get away with this. Will hopefully get to narrow your lead at some point this week.

Smout - go on - even an easy row would get you on the list and something to beat.

By total coincidence, our gym is doing a row challenge too! "How many mins for 2000m?" So with our 15 min challenge I can prob hit both. Some fast times posted by them though : 6:45 for 2000. That's 1:41 per 500m (which is the way my rower shows it - I do around 2:30 per 500m when I'm going easy and 2:10 is going a bit harder. Running Fish's 4000m in 15 mins is 1:51 per 500m. So 1:41 is pretty quick!)

Also, ladies do it on resistance 5 and men on 10. Why would they do that if we decided that they were just different rowing styles? :-)G

one of the first rules of running, and it seems every other sport, is no matter how good you think you are there's always someone quicker than you. i cant even claim to be the best rower in our house as my younger son has that mantle. his aerobic fitness is not as good as mine, but his upper body strength is considerably better as a result of being a rugby playing monster.

from memory level 10 was considered the best setting if you did have upper strength, but level 3 was closer to real rowing.

This whole site is made up lammo - I'm a 15 year old, chubby girl, eating chocolates and turkish delight in a dark basement, me. :-)G
