Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

C Block - there's no place like it.

Dear all,

Just to give you the heads up that we are performing an upgrade of Apollo in early March.

Deposits via Elements will be unavailable 5-8 March

New preprint service coming soon

The Office of Scholarly Communication, jointly with Open Research Systems (Digital Initiatives) and the Research Information team have developed a new preprint deposit service for University of Cambridge researchers. The service will be made available from the week commencing 11 March 2024 and we will share further details at this time.

To support this service, and new processing workflows, a minor upgrade of Apollo is needed. Additionally, this upgrade will bring performance and stability enhancements, as well as incorporating new key functionality to support open access and UKRI compliance.

Dear All,

The mandatory annual fire alarm testing is taking place this Easter Weekend on 29th, 31st March and 1st April between the hours of 8am & 6pm. During the testing, the PAVA system will be sounding for extended periods of time within the building along with passenger/goods lifts being out of service for short periods at certain stages of the testing.
If you are planning to attend the office this weekend, please be aware that this is taking place and there will be periods of time when it could be considered disruptive.

Thank you,
