57.5 Degrees of Pain
Got an 80% WAVA at last week's parkrun. The first at 5k since January 15th of 2022 and first at any distance since April '22. Slow recovery from a nasty dose of Covid in July last year made me think it might never happen again. So never say never. |

It is always nice to read of positive results post Covid. I had my first brush with the illness this year and it can be scary how it makes you feel! Congratulations on being back in the 80's. |

Yes and no. I've given up on the 200s, never my best event, am happy if I can maintain highish 70s with them. Best 100s this year are close enough for me to think 'ok, if I get a good start and a following wind.' 60 metres always my highest wavas for anything - I think 86.7% at my best, but they're only in winter and I'm not sure I will compete next year. Thanks for asking! |

Ooh, please don't do that Sharkie, I bow down to you, superior athlete of track and field! It's many a year now since I hit those great heights, working towards 80% is my goal now

A new top wava for me today on an undulating 10k course 44.30. More chuffed with an age category record but pleased with 84.23, creeping towards that 85 percent but 90 😳! Kudos to you Mrs Jigs!

Oh wow, well done Solo. That is FABULOUS.  And as for Mrs.J - however modest she is about it, she certainly DID. More than once. It's there for all to see on her best times page! Marathons and the odd 10k! (I'm just an all rounder - it's different!) |
