The birthday did help 😊 and today I have managed to run a parkrun in 22.30 giving me 80.43 in a very warm and windy parkrun along Felixstowe seafront. A 43 second improvement from the last time I ran it in better conditions in March.

Thank you all. I am Sharkie. I don't think I would have had the mental fortitude for two hard runs in warm weather so close together. I struggled today as it was with the wind aswell as the heat. |

The tricky conditions make your 80 plus even sweeter! Now you need a race with ideal conditions - they must exist. (My second best event - the 100m - has been into a head wind every time this year! Does my scores no good whatsoever!) |

I got 78.7% WAVA at parkrun yesterday. I wonder if there's a chance of 80% one day. Never considered it before! G

Never say never HappyG(rrr) ... but don't leave it too late cos it just gets harder! I'd come to take them for granted for my sprints and now, well, I DON'T! (High jump is looking ok though at 80.52) |
