Running with 50 colleagues from SThree, our team is called Dexter's Midsummer Runners.
First pain-free run for weeks. Pre-emptive painkillers, ibuprofen gel and kinesio tape worked for me.
Did a practice run around the route on Monday and got 25mins at 90% race pace.
Felt in good form on the day and managed to get far enough towards the front so I wasn't slowed down too much by the crowds. I used my Garmin 305 to keep an eye on my current and average pace. Was gradually overtaking people right until the finish line. Felt like I paced myself well, so that I was on the edge, but had just enough in the tank to speed up on the last KM of the race.
Really hoped to run this in under 30 but the course was so crowded we were forced to walk in places
First time with BP. Quite happy with time, but yet again, 10 seconds off some pesky 20 something year old.
About 40 th place...
good run; a bit crowded and windy
