A walk with youngest at his pace. He was determined to do Fellbarrow and Low Fell, but decided, as we topped Smithy, that actually he'd had plenty of uphills for one day and that we should head back "straight down, now!"
Which was probably a mistake as the most direct route involved a fair amount of bog hopping and bracken bashing. (I should have opened route on here - paths that exist are marked on Open Street better than they are on OS, although not sure fell tops are)
We then got our route on the Mosser track barred by a large bull that had broken out through its fence and that took a fair bit of careful skirting around.
Beautiful day, fabulous views
Youngest sent me to do Hatteringill Head by myself , but I hadn't seen how to get up Whin Fell without climbing barbed fencing - there is an awful lot of that around here.

Nice day good Yomping !
Glad you got out on a lovely day. 😀
Nice hike. It's been a cracking day so the views up there would be wonderful.
stunning - clear as a fresh spring day rather than summer.
