Sorry, it wasn't a question, I was trying to explain the situation with examples. :)

Been to Tampere dozens of times, that is a beautiful spot to run. It can get *very* cold in winter though (-25/-30C one time I was there.)

[When I told my son that there was a parkrun starting in Tampere, he responded 'well you've crossed the finish line enough times, now I think you're ready for the Finnish line'. Made me chuckle]

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I event directed a parkrun 19 miles west. Now I event direct a parkrun 19 miles east. My one attempt to cycle saw me take a nasty spill and appear as the 'Zombie Tailrunner from Hell". After that I will continue to drive, while joining Dvorak in getting the shopping in, and probably a run somewhere in the countryside on the way home.

I do run to work every day though, so parkrun is my weekly commute (well, that and Hash House Harriers). And I've even managed to sign off on a couple of courses (the UK's current most northerly and one that will be the most northerly soon) while in the areas on other business. So I try to be good!

Sale Water are asking if everyone (i.e. Tourists) do not attend the inaugural event on the 07/10/17 as parking can be a bit limited and Trafford Council are a bit funny. Make sure you scroll down to read the parking instructions

From the Yorkshire parkruns page on Facebook "..There are two new York parkruns currently in the planning stages. These will be located at New Earswick and York University..".

The above quote actually taken from York parkrun news page so quite 'official': parkrun.org.uk

Finally got the thumbs up from the Park Ranger for Alver Valley (Gosport) for our route. Another step closer...

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
