Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

She's very good at avoiding onions, grapes etc, but I think she associates chocolate with baked goods and has therefore got a taste for it (plus she sees us eat it all the time).

Bel is home.

The bite sounds weren't serious, have been stitched and stapled and I need to make an appointment with our own vet to check on them on Saturday. I'm not sure our own vet is open on Saturdays, but I'll sort that out tomorrow.

She had a(nother) seizure not long after I left her earlier, so the leading theory is still that she had one at home and the new girl freaked out.
Which is the less scary of the theories, from my perspective.

Sam is in Korea until the week sheet next, so I've got tomorrow off to stay with them all, and I'm hoping by Monday she'll be essentially back to her usual self.

Thanks all, she's doing ok I think.

Very sleepy, but then that's pretty normal when she's on the extra intervention drugs after a seizure, so will probably start properly perking up tomorrow afternoon as those wear off.

She's not allowed up stairs for two weeks, though, which is a bit of a pain as that's where we do the majority of our sleeping.
I stayed down on the sofa with her last night and will again tonight, but as much as I love our sofa, I'm not doing two whole weeks on it.

A traumatic few days. Are you able to separate them when you're not there?

Not easily, unfortunately, and not in a way that gives them all access to the garden.
I'm out for nine or ten hours a time on week days, I couldn't leave them without that.

Poor Bel, and poor you Rae :( Can you set up a camera to monitor them when you're not there, maybe you'll get a clue as to who did the biting?
