sallykate 5:45pm 5:45pm, 8 Mar 2026 19,307 posts	sallykate Unfortunately no advice to offer but I empathise: I have a litter box by the back door and even if the door's open I sometimes hear a cat in the box. jda's advice seems sounds - perhaps if he gets used to using a litter tray outside he might then just use the garden. Is it a closed tray - could the issue be that he's used to privacy and doesn't want to be in the open?
fraggle 6:17pm 6:17pm, 8 Mar 2026 4,117 posts	fraggle nope its an open tray. Maybe i should just lock the cat flap and force the issue I'm sure he'll grow out of it (I wouldn't !)
