Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What's making you smile today?

Euston. First time I've used it since the government said It Must Improve, and it was a really easy and relaxed experience. Only problem was all the planning and plotting I'd done to be prepared for the worst.

The solar power system I use has a little game where you collect carbon savings each day and eventually you can save enough to plant a real tree somewhere. Today I’ve just spent my savings on a tree in a farm in Mexico :-)

A concrete effigy of the sniggering hound. Arrived today. No garden is complete without one.

Thank you! It’s been fantastic so far, just having a breather before the evening. There will be a blog eventually…

Goldfinches drinking from the bird bath on the patio whilst we sat just inside watching them, it took a while to tempt birds onto the feeders when we moved here a few weeks ago, now we have loads :-)

We get so much pleasure from watching the garden birds and jackdaws that visit the feeders.
We get the occasional sparrow hawk and magpie too which aren’t so welcome but are lovely to see.
