Mobile phone going shortways when I've turned it longways. Then I switch around to get it back and it does the opposite. This goes on for a matter of seconds before I start swearing.

When I was learning to drive, and even as far back as doing my cycling proficiency, I was taught that when you're turning right you take the crown of the road i.e. you position yourself right up to the centre white line. I guess that's no longer a part of the curriculum. It's incredible the number of people I encounter who are turning right and just plonk themselves right in the middle of the carriageway thereby precluding anyone behind from passing them on the left to drive straight on.

A few months ago I had a young woman plonk herself on the left at a junction and then promptly turn right across my car, as I was about to turn left. No indication, and she seemed cross that I had to slam on my brakes to not hit her. She hadn't even looked behind her to check I was there. That really fucking ground my gears, along with her headphones. A contender for the Darwin awards.

Not indicating, or indicating as they turn by any person in any type of vehicle. How hard is it?

Cars are much worse really, you don't need to lose balance by sticking your arm out, you don't need to make sure nothing is going to whip your arm off, you just flick a little lever. My sons and I nearly got mown down by some fucker at a roundabout last week, he just couldn't be bothered to indicate and came tearing round the junction and nearly hit us. Total fucking wanker.

Exactly just a little flick of the wrist, keeps the traffic flowing, stops people dying. Is it laziness? Are they dense?

Cyclists in the rush hour on a main road with no helmet but full noise-blocking headphones. It's *your* wellbeing and life, for gods sake try to have some awareness of what's going on around you. (I feel the same about car drivers with max volume "music" as well but the consequences to them are lower).

Fleecy - I'm sure there was a discussion on this thread about that left at a junction thing. I'm taking about cycling here. I maintained that I always put myself right when going right (and will always do), but some people posted that it's OK to be on the left of the lane. I've seen people positioning themselves that way a lot. Sometimes I get a cyclist on the left going right nearly across me when I'm on the bike in the RHS of the lane. I have to assert my position or they end up undertaking me. What's that all about?
