I'll have to wait until next week to attempt going in person, as I'll be at work while they're open.
Luckily the small amount of research and testing out there suggests epi pens still have some level of effect up to four years past their expiry.

There's a "Power Tool Pete" in every street. He's out there to make sure you WILL NOT relax and enjoy any quiet time in your garden on any Saturday. Ever.

In our neighborhood it's squealing children in paddling pools or on trampolines, SD. Not just normal, happy, playing type noise, oh no. Eat sharing screeches every few seconds, coming from all directions.
The sound of an angle grinder be or air compressor would be positivity soothing by comparison, although we generally try to keep the power tools inside the garage (it's cooler in there anyway, at this time of year), and made a point of sound proofing the shed that houses the compressor to the best of our ability.
We should possibly have expected this, having chosen to live in a lovely little village which would naturally attract young families, but we forgot to factor in the Dutch tendency to view giving a damn about one's neighbors as a sign of mental deficiency. This is why we are currently fantasizing about moving somewhere properly remote, like an old farm.

We had to have words with our neighbour who’s retired but does a lot of work for surrounding neighbours. He was always making things 7 days a week, hammering, sawing, grinding. So I asked him not to do it on weekends and to go and do what he has to do in the garden of the person he’s working for. It’s a little bit quieter nowadays 😂

The big tree in one of the neighbour's garden is being removed. Pretty sure it had birds nesting in it
I know that it needed to go as it was an out of control leylandii covered in russian vine but it's a shame to lose the shade it gave.

It's the THIRD time the council have not been able to make the appointment they've arranged to replace the doors. At least this time they've rung me early so I won't waste the rest of the day waiting for them to not turn up!

The increasing use of the word 'hack' to mean an idea e.g. '20 gardening hacks to improve your garden '.

We have fairly regular "hackathons" at work. Basically a coding team with some customer input, who create someone useful(ish).
I don't get involved!
