Seems logical to me XB after all if I was a boss I'd want to know where my workforce were/are

I expect the manager is too busy writing pointless reports for his own manager.

Would you want a 'Friday afternoon' shed? I suspect in their rush to complete, it would be better to wait for next week?

Yet another day battling with doctor's surgery! But GP did actually phone me to apologise for the "clerical error". Something I suppose but I've been in tears of frustration several times today and can really do without all the hassle in the first place ![]() |

My GP surgery is grinding my gears. I have epi pens for wasp sting allergy. They are very out of date. I can't get new ones without a prescription. I can't request a prescription because it's not on my 'repeat medication' list. I can't use the online system to AskMyGP because it is only available for limited types of requests. I can't call them because after five minutes of recorded messages, the queue is full, and I need to try later. I could go there, I suppose, but I don't think they let you in without an appointment. |

We have a prescription email address which actually seems to work. I requested a different type of progesterone as the pharmacy said they wouldn't get stock for months. Emailed the prescription address and the different type was issued. The problem is that you can't use it for HRT as that's not allowed on repeat. But that's not the surgery's fault. Mind you, they keep sending me smear reminders but I can't get through on the phone to make an appointment. Ever. And a smear is funnily enough not very successful over the internet or phone. |

Carpathius I would definitely go to surgery and tell them that's it's a potentially life threatening situation and that you're not going to leave until you have your prescription! A bee sting nearly killed my friend 😳

MsG: posting on this thread reminded me to try again! After an hour of being told I was 5th in the queue, I finally got an appointment booked for a month's time. Getting a boob squash was all a LOT easier and more convenient, they sent me an appointment, then rearranged it when I couldn't make that one.

Oh well done DrP; breast screening is organised differently to cervical. IIRC the vans and clinic appointments are run by the local clinic (who'd do any follow up needed) rather than at a primary care level. The invite letters and screening database is part of central Open Exeter mind you. |
