[Absolutely. I live in a small cul de sac, let's call it 'Fetch street' to illustrate the point. Unfortunately there is another 'Fetch Street' only a mile and a half down the road. The postcodes for each only differ by 2 digits but there is a difference! We regularly have to turn away the parcels for the similarly numbered house on that street!]
Who was it in the council thought it was ok to give two streets the same name when they are so close to each other?

There are only two roads where we live, it’s not unusual to have attempted deliveries to our house for the other road, the biggest surprise was when a different house number on the other road accepted delivery of our entire kitchen last September!

We have the opposite problem - our house is quite difficult to locate (just house name + village and the postcode covers several houses). Frequently I get a message saying a parcel has been delivered, with a photo of it propped against a random door that I don’t recognise. I then have to go for a walk around the village to see if I can find the door!

um
Parcels here (probably not whole kitchens) seem to be left on the doormat. By the time I open the door the driver is normally driving off, not waiting for 'acceptance'.

There's a road name the same as ours about 6 miles away, but in a different county. I once came home from work to find a skip on our drive and, two days later, a lorry driver insisting that he had a load of double glazing for us!!

That our University won't pay for more than 10 licences for a piece of software. I am trying to use said software and can't because 10 folk are using it.
