Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People being all melodramatic about snow at Easter - snow at Easter in Northern Europe is more common than snow at Christmas, it's not a sign of the damn apocalypse.

websites with annoying pop up messages such as "would you like to be on our mailing list?" that only have two options: 'yes' or 'maybe later'. How about a 'never' option?

People like me who think spring is being particularly harsh each and every year, and never learn from previous years what spring is actually like.

My gears. In my radio controlled 1/10th scale model racing car. The differential gears are crunching and grinding - I think I probably need to rebuild my diff. :-) G

When a missing person is in the news, and "the police find a body" also gets in the news. I don't know how it could be handled better, but I hate it every time. It's as if they're saying that some poor family has a tragedy to cope with, and they almost know which family it is.
