Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The M6

(I managed 4 years of trips to daughter in Carlisle without going near it, she's barely been in Liverpool 5 minutes and I'm fed up +++ with the M1/M6 combination and appaling driving it seems to attract)

+1 for the M6, Rosehip. I endure it from J11-J14 on a regular basis visiting relatives at the weekends. Plus, whenever J14-J15 has an accident they all pile onto the A34 and the local roads around home become gridlocked.

Given its relatively short length, the M27 is a horrible motorway. Very crowded, everyone drives far too close, it has narrow lanes and frequent junctions and lots of HGVs. There was a time when I had to use it every day. I don’t miss it at all. I was always glad to get off it

I drove down the M27 last year for the first time in goodness-knows-how-long. Not an experience I intend to repeat!

M6 Toll is crazy. If you drive at 70mph you will be the slowest vehicle on the road. I've been passed by cars doing well over 100mph.
