Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The seemingly increasing number of people who cannot distinguish between a written statement and a question (and who then add a question mark to a statement e.g. "people who add a question mark to a statement?")

A recipe whose USP is that it takes 40 minutes and begins with heating the oven (say 15 minutes), preparing some of the food (say that fits into the same 15 minutes) and then putting in the oven for 45 minutes.

'Amount' of people. You have an amount of sand, or money. People are individuals and countable. I find it dehumanising to refer to a group of people as you would talk about a lump of Cheddar. so, it's 'number' of people, please.

I agree with you Grumpypants, but we're losing the battle. It's the same with less and fewer :(

People who can't differentiate between lose and loose. Re-read your sentence before sending it.

In a similar way, I get fed up by my minutes getting autocorrected from actions to auctions.

Definitely perfume/aftershave adverts. Utterly pretentious and also entirely useless. How does some random chiselled bloke prancing about in a car, then on a boat, then in a bedroom with a model tell anybody what something smells like?!
