The splendid combination of Jurys "Yes you can have a refund on your room as the hotel is closed but you'll have to talk to the company you booked it through" Inn and Booking Dot "yeah we talked to Jurys Inn and they said no, except we're going to make it clear we haven't read your message and are too clueless to make sense of it anyway" f****ing com. At this rate I'm going to be nearly 300 quid out of pocket because neither of them will take responsibility and refund me for a hotel room that I couldn't get to in a hotel that won't be open if I could get there (or wanted to). |

Refunds in general- currently waiting for two refunds from our cancelled holiday. The suggested number of working days has passed and no sign. Falling asleep on the sofa at 8:30 so coming through to bed, and being wide awake ever since |

The absolute shit show of social distancing exhibited by the customers and staff at the supermarket I went to this morning. I even said (loudly) "that's not two metres" on several occasions, and was totally blanked.

[I’ve not witnessed that, but I have seen many totally ignoring the one-way systems]

Braved Tesco's today - and also the inability of people to understand or comply with one way aisles. Even with big arrows on the floor. [Did take pleasure when I asked someone 'did they know there's a one way system', and a Tesco employee asked/instructed them to go back down the aisle the right way.] [little things when the world as we know it is collapsing !] |
