Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have recycling bins in the public areas. Completely pointless, as you’d expect.

We have black bins for general rubbish and yellow ones for hazardous waste. Frequently there are discarded coffee cups deposited in the yellow bins. I know that our coffee machine doesn’t dispense the best of drinks, but hazardous?

Cotton buds being referred to as "ear buds". NOOOOOOOOOOOO! (I've just seen an example of this in a record made by a health care practitioner with a qualification beyond NVQ; I'd demote them for it if I was in charge.)

Companies that keep emailing “Time is running out to enter x race!” When you already have. Can’t be that hard to not send that email to those who have already entered?!

Film and TV show staggered time-lines. It was ok once or twice but enough’s enough.

People who back in the 1970s thought it was absolutely brilliant to write 'Grauniad" and haven't grown up yet.

Not being able to amend an existing payee details on my online banking, but having to create it as a new one, and not being able to do this without making an actual payment. The card number has changed, but I don’t have a payment to make at the moment. When it does come to making one I’ll probably forget, or be in a hurry.
