Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People who escalate "urgent" jobs to their boss of bosses, and then don't have the decency to respond to calls or emails for 2 whole days when you have a solution that needs their input to make it happen.

To put it into context, they told us they needed a fix inside 48 hours.....

[MMM - to which the correct response is a reply mail to all the same mgmnt structure stating you have a proposed solution/fix but are unable to progress without their input, and will be moving their job to the wait queue until they respond]
[even better if you say you have replied & been waiting 1 day / 2 days on them]
[good luck !]

The idiots in our neighbourhood who think the "No Dogs" sign at the entrance to the children's playground actually means one of the following:
- it's ok to take your dog in there early in the morning or in the evening because there are no children there.
- it's ok if your dog is on your lap.
- it's ok if you sit on the seats inside the playground near the gate and have your dog on a lead.
- plus other variations of the above justifying their behaviour with a variety of excuses, but ALL of them think that NO DOGS doesn't apply to them.

When you get onto a mode of transport where a seat is reserved for you to find that there is someone sitting in the seat, clearly chancing their arm that you aren't going to turn up and they can snaffle the solo seat by the window.

Always quickly resolved, but still grinding

(I stood all the way from Reading to Exeter when I found my reserved seat on a busy train was taken by an old lady. As a fit man in his early forties and sporting a London Marathon finisher’s T shirt, I didn’t have the heart to ask her to give up my seat).

ERM- in a similar vein, people who can't be arsed to find their seat in the cinema so just sit anywhere which leads to the awkward conversation when they are in your seat
