Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[I've never seen star wars either, but I did think it was appropriate to order it today as I've been meaning to for ages]

My turn for roundabouts today. I have a double one to get from my work road, on to the A1. There are 2 lanes on the roundabout itself, if you're careful, but the exit I require is a single lane. So I still have to wait until it's totally clear before I can pull out. That plus the general disregard for lane discipline makes it tricky to negotiate.
The second of the two is much better as I have right of way.

People who can't be bothered to use the recycle bins at work even though they're right next to the standard rubbish bins. I suppose it's at least one step up from just throwing it around where you stand...

Moving into our new house and buying various things like gate hinges and handles, a pump sprayer etc., and finally clearing out the shed to find that the previous owner had left us gate hinges and handles, a pump sprayer...

Funny, that, CharlieP. If we sold our house, our buyers might just find in the shed all the bits and pieces that are most urgently needed.
