stilldreaming Feb 2023 7:49pm, 12 Feb 2023 1,132 posts	stilldreaming Nice steady run round Shipley country park today (Staffs/Derby XC League). Couldn't believe how dry the course was, but then I suppose we haven't had much rain recently. Still had to hosepipe my shoes though
Gobi Feb 2023 7:56pm, 12 Feb 2023 79,192 posts	Gobi Last DIV2 Brum league for me yesterday and season ended with a 45th overall and 1st V50 would have made top 10 as a V40 as well. Weightloss has started for track season and that really helps. Like you stilldreaming I had a bone dry course at Burton Dasset but still used 12mm spikes as there was a lot of camber and climbing on the course.
SPR Feb 2023 7:57pm, 12 Feb 2023 39,530 posts	SPR Yes, It was fairly solid at Northampton yesterday although there was enough surface moisture for mud to stick to the bottom spikes and trail shoes. Easily cleared after by banging them together. Decent runout for me, nothing special but hopefully another step forward in fitness. Club second overall in Div 1 and first B team. Masters matches that as well.

SPR Feb 2023 8:00pm, 12 Feb 2023 39,531 posts	SPR 15 front (one race old), 12 (fairly used) middle and back for me. All 12s would have been fine but didn't want to change and it was soft enough to cope. I'm expecting the Nationals will need 15s simply because of the number of people and races.
