The Strictly spoiler has a place where viewers can log their votes so it tends to be fairly accurate representation of the proportion of the public vote.

I don't think they've ever revealed the voting figures, even after an FOI enquiry! ![]() |

There is literally a FOI opt out that allows the BBC to keep this stuff out of the public domain. This type of information you have requested is excluded from the Act because it is held for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature.’ Part VI of Schedule 1 to FOIA provides that information held by the BBC and the other public service broadcasters is only covered by the Act if it is held for ‘purposes other than those of journalism, art or literature”. The BBC is not required to supply information held for the purposes of creating the BBC’s output or information that supports and is closely associated with these creative activities. whatdotheyknow.com |

That's what I thought Little N. And I think it's a good idea not to. It's not as if we're voting for government policy or anything. Much as I love it we're talking Saturday night telly here! |

I imagine it is because the beeb don't want people to know how few people vote but more importantly it helps if the numbers aren't know to prevent a FB type campaign along tbe libes of vote x thousand times to save whoever. No doubt such things exist anyhow |

Have you seen that there's to be no more Brendan. Can't work out if I'm sorry or not!

I'm not sorry - I found him rather arrogant. He has had a good run - 15 series - but possibly that rudeness to Shirley was the nail in his coffin.

He looks gutted! Probably a good decision by the BBC I think. Any news about whether Shirley is coming back for another series? There was some talk that she wouldn't. |

Does Brendan's departure leave Anton as the only pro left from Series One - or is Anton retired from the series now?
