Good run then HB?

Mission well and truly accomplished, mainly thanks to Nellers' 1:50 bus. There were just the two of us in the end, so more of a 1:48 motorbike with me on the pillion trying not to fall off. I'd nominate him for MOTM if he hadn't already won it :)

Love this race. Everything a local race should be, and deceptively fast. (You'd think Grunty Fen should be quicker, as it's so flat, but my quickest time there is remarkably similar to my slowest time at St Neots).

Most excellent running by all Fetchies today :-) Lots of happy faces in the post-run cafe crowd.

Not a PB for me but a good strong steady run with which I was very pleased indeed.

Nice to say hello to so many fetchies. Glad I didn't run with Nellers & Badger in the end, as I finished in 1:44, a whole minute per mile faster than when I ran this in 2012. My target when I entered was sub 1:50, so delighted with that time.

I live 35 miles away and spoke to 5 runners from my village - 4 of them people I only really know to say hello to as we run past each other in the street. I was trying to put my finger on what makes this the kind of race that people don't want to miss. The price, the ability to transfer your place, the speed the results are available (text arrived within minutes of the finish) are all factors, but I think it's the marshals who really make it, you're hardly ever out of earshot of someone shouting encouragement.

Badger - I reckon Grunty Fen being in the summer makes a fair difference. Today's conditions were perfect for running.
