Great cross training (get into tri before running injury forces you onto a bike/into the pool), all round training and show off appeal The same friendly support and encouragement you get at run races (but with slightly more bikes if you like that kind of thing) And what I'll mainly be doing next year

An Ironman is like a good wife : takes ages to train (for), goes on for hours, leaves you exhausted, but at the end of the day you love it and keep going back for more. I'll get me coat, sorry. First Sprint, one off. Finished it. 3 HOURS later had entered an Ironman 11 months in the future. And -E- Nowt wrong with that, my first was open water and didn't have a wetsuit.
