I'm two weeks into this bench. Went over on my right foot showboating after a drink that I could do the dick van dyke kick two feet together at the side, if you know what I mean! I could and did twice, but on the third go (which was unnecessary really) I landed in a rabbit hole. Ligaments done on both sides of my ankle.

Just glad I no longer streak run.

Started the standing on one leg eyes closed today but very much need a wall, either side just in case.....
Off swimming tonight, have to do something!

Sorry to hear that Wabo, hope it heals.

Healing takes a lot longer for me, as I get older. 4 weeks on from the 10 miler where my until that point much better right calf and Achilles was hurt again. And just back to 3 or 4 miles gently now. Hoping it will improve this time. And I don't duff it again.

Thing is, when it feels fine, I do want to train and race "properly" again, so I guess always a risk that it is re-injured. Or something else goes! :-) G

It's about time I found this bench! Back in August I woke up one Sunday morning feeling like I'd twisted my knee. I hadn't done anything to it, so I assumed it'd just wear off. It didn't. At the gym I noticed it looked a bit swollen.

Rested for a bit. Didn't make a difference. Ran my fastest parkrun in ages. No difference. Didn't get any better, so I tried physio. Various exercises to strengthen the muscles, if anything I think it's getting worse. Inside edge of the knee bone is starting to feel a bit bruised.

Barely done any running (other than parkrun) at all for the last few months. Did one race, and spent the next week (until I remembered how good ibuprofen is) with a stiff and sore knee. Doesn't like it if I do too much, gets worse if I don't do anything. Feeling sorry for myself...

That's a weird one Louise. Hope you can get a diagnosis and some improvement soon..

My hip that I felt sore 1.5 months ago, improved wuth rest, but isn't enjoying the build up to more consistent running that I need for April marathon. Might have to see a physio and see what exercises they would recommend. :-) G
