Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I thought I do a new discussion for everyone to Jon in who run regular and not about how many miles you got to do this year

I try and run 2-3 time a week normal

Tue I run by myself (5-7)
Thursday I do speed work with my running club (5-6)
Then do a run at weekend (5-8)

I never run on Monday, I then generally run another 4-5 times that week, the days will vary.

Hello Karl, long time no see.

I used to swim on Monday, run with the running club Tuesday, and run at least three other days (sometimes four) in the week, with a long run usually on Sunday.

However, I have had a knee problem, just been diagnosed as arthritis but not very severe, but it was painful for a while and I took a break from running and am just getting back into it. Trying to run alternate days (so, 3 days one week and 4 days the next) but doing run/walk and building up distance gradually and never mind the speed.

I try to run every other day but it depends on work and family commitments. l never do less than 3 a week so it is a bonus when I get the 4th one in.
Most of my runs are 5 to 6 miles, so my weekly target is somewhere around the 18 mile mark.

If I am not training for a race, then I will just run for pleasure but a training schedule will see me mix things up with tempo, intervals, long runs and recoveries.
Annual target is 700 miles but the last two years have seen me get closer to 800. This year I am over 600 miles already - I have my beady eye on getting 1000 miles under my belt.
