Wasn't much better at Hazlehead LG. Still got soaked, although wasn't too bad through the trees.

Monsoon at Cuerden Valley today but a big shout out to all the volunteers who had to stand and get drenched but were still noisy and enthusiastic. Hats off....

Had a week off running and volunteered instead, if anybody was at Conwy parkrun I was the grinning fool by the castle promising sunshine in Deganwy! Great fun this week as the rain seems to put people in good spirits.

very much enjoyed Ellon parkrun. i thought I counted at the turn I was third or fourth lady so I kept pushing right to the end (especially when I saw a lady gaining on me!) but alas I was 6th- must have been some manly looking women
unfortunately a last minute course change meant it came up significantly short - around 2.9/2.95 miles. if you look at the results it's entirely first timers or new PB (bar one). at the moment the ED is saying that people can either accept their time, be deleted, or be given 59:59, as it's given people potentially unbeatable (or certainly not easily beatable!) PBs. it's only the 4th running so it has meant that some age grade records etc have been broken.
it's a lovely route though- that wee bit further away but would definitely do it again (even though it's gonna be hard to beat my PB!)

237 soggy souls at Wimpole this morning. Now I just need to get this laptop out of its sodding update reboot loop.

Oh dear, I should have more faith in my fellow park runners. In the end, we had more volunteers than you can shake a stick at. It all went off without a hitch. Even the gale force winds & driving rain didn't dampen their enthusiasm. Great stuff.

Good to hear 12bar.
That's annoying, M_N but can't be helped I guess
