Metro_Nome Nov 2015 2:30pm, 7 Nov 2015 2,964 posts	Quote Pin Metro_Nome very much enjoyed Ellon parkrun. i thought I counted at the turn I was third or fourth lady so I kept pushing right to the end (especially when I saw a lady gaining on me!) but alas I was 6th- must have been some manly looking women unfortunately a last minute course change meant it came up significantly short - around 2.9/2.95 miles. if you look at the results it's entirely first timers or new PB (bar one). at the moment the ED is saying that people can either accept their time, be deleted, or be given 59:59, as it's given people potentially unbeatable (or certainly not easily beatable!) PBs. it's only the 4th running so it has meant that some age grade records etc have been broken. it's a lovely route though- that wee bit further away but would definitely do it again (even though it's gonna be hard to beat my PB!)

It all went off without a hitch. Even the gale force winds & driving rain didn't dampen their enthusiasm. Great stuff.
