Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hello folks,
I've added a new heart rate graph to the training home page (you have to switch it on). Here's one from my recent data:

Basically, it looks at all your running within the time period, broken down by heart rate, and works out your average pace in each HR bracket. So you can tune up all parts of the spectrum.

I know that there's a tendency for heart rate to climb as you progress on longer runs, without a corresponding pace increase, so this will only ever be an interesting guide... but I hope it is at least that :-)

Cheers

I suppose I should dig out the old trusty HRM and see what stats I pull out

Fetch - super stuff.

But mine looks weird:

I don't do any running at 100-115bpm, so I don't know why there's data there. And then that data makes the useful section of the graph unreadable because of the axis-squashing.

My guess at why this is (or maybe you know different) is that the Fetch data doesn't 'see' the time that the watch is stopped on a Garmin import (to cross the road, wait for someone, comfort break etc.). Splits on the training entry page can look odd becuase of this, and I guess while stopped, then the HR would dip down to these lower levels (while moving at a rocket-fuelled 54min/mile pace on average...).

Is that right, or is it something else?

I think the 54 minute miling is the big clue :-)

Mine looks similar to Paul (although the x axis is rather different, due to anything under 150bpm being walking pace for me...)

ptb - I've just had a look at what yours is outputting now, and it's definitely changed to something more useful. Try a CTRL+F5 to make your browser get the file again.

Autumnleaves - go to the Train page, and in the black column on the left, look for the option to choose the graphs you want to display.
