Never thought of anti histamine. Might give them a go.

That's interesting as my skin has gotten a lot more itchy over the last few years. I'd always assumed it was linked to my hay-fever.
I stopped taking my HRT about 6 months ago and so far *touches wood* my symptoms haven't come back as badly as I had them before. I get the occasional hot flush, some insomnia and my memory has the odd woolly moment but it's manageable. I think I must be lucky not to get them too bad but I'm v. grateful they haven't increased too much now I'm post-HRT.

I didn't give the itching much of a thought at the time, but I definitely had it and not having it is very pleasant.

Itchy skin here too and a very woolly memory at Times. I take antihistamines every day. Bloody men get it easy

Memory also flaky but the worst thing is the emotional fragility. It's like the worst PMT but not in the least bit predictable.

Ooh I didn't realise itchy skin was a thing as well. I've had itchy skin for a couple of years now, but it's mostly itchy when I exercise. I take antihistamines every day for that reason, though for half the year it's for hay fever and seasonal allergies.

Very interesting...I had itching and thought it was stress-related hives or something of the sort...

Helloooo... Anyone still here?
Just reading through this, as I have bad night sweats in the 3-4 days before my TOTM is due, and feeling very emotional - almost back to the meltdowns I had as a teenager. Just started my period today, a week earlier than expected, so all the flags are waving.
So far it's all manageable physically, and as long as I can tell myself "it's just hormones making you feel like that" I can just about cope with the emotional stuff, but what are the long-term benefits/drawbacks to HRT and getting checked in the first place?
Turned 50 last year, no family history of cancer on mother's side, paternal grandmother died of breast cancer at 68.
