Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Let's talk about inaugural parkruns after they've happened.

the website is live now so you can find all the details! It's still an hour from me so I have no interest to visit any time soon.

The location is one that I used frequently when the children had sports matches..... It was always a relief when matches were there as it was nearer to home than the school pitches.

@DocM A friend of mine did it and said they’d recommend trail shoes as it was muddy in parts around a rugby pitch.

I guess you mean RD - lots of events only have 1 ED :)

Another new event started last week, Black Rocks near Matlock - another one on a old railway track.

@DocM was it busy? I saw someone moaning on a parkrun tourism site that it should have been cancelled because of too much mud -)

@Metro_Nome I’m not sure if he deleted it as he didn’t find anybody agreeing.

About This Thread

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
