Dave A, walking in the Peak District is surprisingly strenuous and takes it out of the legs

I know that NOW!!!!!
My plan for next time is to consider a long run the day BEFORE the walk. I'll probably end up doing the same tho!

Dave, I'd split them up - put at least a nice easy day between them. If you walked a decent distance it could count as a hard session
Anj, you're welcome, nice to see you enjoying the running and training well

Ian- I just like to do as muchas possible on my days off. I work quite long shifts sometimes, then get 4 days off, so I like to tire myself out as much as possible! Only had 3 days off this week, so even more to cram into the days!

A very hard 9 miles with a climb of 1000 feet to leave the baton in the wilderness. From Ingleton up to Kingsdale Head and the summit beyond.

just under 5 miles in the early morning sun. first time legs have seen the light of day for some months! (yes i'm a wimp and have been in 3/4's till today...) was lovely. Garmin packed up after 0.75 miles so just ran and ended going bit faster than planned. Kaiser Chiefs and Mika on ipod helped!.... really looking forward to my race on sunday now. I may not pb, who knows, but i've done a few good fast interval sessions leading up to it so it can't be too carp. Ang - good work on the miles - v fast!

Nothing yet today, run home from work was via short route (4 miles) and at a slow pace.
