Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Was about to go out down to the Thames Path to try out the trail shoes I just brought then the skies darkened and torrential rain started. Love running in the rain but this is a bit much to try them out and don't think the daylight will recover from now on. Will take them out tomorrow :)

Tried on loads of trail shoes the guy said were good for trail and cushioned enough to handle a bit of road. Most were too much like my road shoes, couple didn't have much more grip than my sausony ones. Went for Brooks as not quite so cushioned but better grips and didn't feel so clunky on my feet. I had a loverly choice between a bright putrid yellow and bright putrid red ! Both were exactely the right combination and shade of yellow & red to clash with my Fetch top.

Breezed around an 11 miler and felt like i was running, and not just grinding out miles
Was wet

Which lightweights did you use ElBee?

My run was a steady 3.1 mile loosener ready for tomorrow's fell race after yesterday's rest due to calf twinge. Felt great, had a bit of speedplay etc put me in the mood for tomorrow now. Can't wait! :-)

IanM - am using Nike Air Marathoners
They are lovely and light - with a bit of cushioning - and I'm aiming towards being able to use fairly minimal shoes for all my running in time.
Feet aren't strong enough for that yet - but I'm definitely getting there

B.B.
Cushioning is always a good idea if you're doing high mileage...

The marathoners are a good compromise between racing flats and Cushioned Shoes!
And I'm not using them all the time just yet
