Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

How was your run today?

A killer. Ballbuster duathlon after nowhere near enough training, especially on the bike. I wasn't expecting to be racing as I'm oncall this weekend, but someone covered me in the 11th hour, so it was a last minute rush to get everything prepped, then a 5:30am start to get down to Box Hill for an 8am kick off. I've never come so close to a DNF. Was 100% ready to quit coming up the hill at the end of the 1st bike lap, but couldn't bring myself to when I saw the cheering spectators at the finish area. Bloody do-gooders ;)

Somehow managed to get myself around and up that bloody hill 5 times to finish 30min slower than last time I did it in '05. In pieces now.

Weather was perfect though, and the view wasn't too bad:

First run in a week and a half due to a stomach bug that dragged on. 5 miles in the beautiful sunshine. Had a stitch for most of the way, which is unusual for me, but it was manageable.

Just a short one for me today - although when 7 miles became a short run I don't know!

In the dark, cracking, over the Long Mynd Shropshire, saw no one, seemed to have it all to myself. Not even my usual training partner, she's injured, I accidentally stood on her paw last night, hope she gets well soon.

quite a cracker, route recce for the stiperstones time trial in a few weeks, once I'd done the bit I was reccing I cut off and did a sort of wandering route back. Not many people about, a school trip doing geology?, and shepherds moving a flock of sheep into a valley. I love it up there (Long Mynd) :-)
