Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The terms fun runner or jogger? I used to care but now I don't, must be my age.

Hope your calf was just a twinge & is better today CT.

1st Wed league XC today. running them with a Garmin is going to be an eye-opener. Gen spec is 5k for ladies, 10k for the men. todays was 2 laps for ladies 3 for men around local RAF camp. Slow drag at beginning of lap then a few minor ups & downs & logs to jump. Forgot to press start for about 400yds & recorded 3.41 miles & averaged 7 13 pace. Not sure what pace it felt like as was stuck behind a crowd in the first lap which kept the pace down, prob not a bad thing. Came 5th which is better than usual so either I'm running well or the better runners were busy & didn't turn out!

Drums fingers jealously on table. Seethes at losing entry fee to Ampthill XC this sunday, fumes at the bloomin' lot of you.

I'm going off to change the strings on one of my guitars. SO there.

I did a 30 min, 4 mile run this morning. My first run since Sunday. I'm feeling odd from tapering and starting to carb load, and just want to get on that plane and onto the start line. NOW

Steady 8 miles with Heidi but I ended up doing a bit of hill work running back and forth to let heidi catch up because there were a few good hills to practice on of varying lentgths, inclines etc. Practiced accelerating up them and upping the pace after the top rather than slowing like you are SO tempted to do when the lactic burn hits :-). Enjoyable session.
