Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Long, windy and tough at the end. 20 miles, last LSR before taper. As always, buzzing now it's over, despite aches and pains.

A rubbish, windy, hilly 17 miles. I felt great for the first 5 miles, but had set off too quick and lost all energy after that. All I could think of was calling my OH to come and get me :( Everything started aching and it was just mental torture. I'm glad I did my last 20 miler last weekend. I couldn't have faced it today! Boo :( Self confidence has just taken a battering.

Sorry to hear you had a bad run today but hopefully you will now have a fabulous run on the day and you didn't give in loads of strength to help your self confidence!

Had a good run today, 5 Miles. calves didn't start to tighten up till the 3 mile point :-). At which point i got faster, strange. Building the miles slowly as this is only week 5 of running after many years not running.
Should be on new shoes for next sundays long run, might sort the calf problem out.

Felt really good, about 7 road miles, with a couple of hills along the way. Union made me push hard up the hills. So did it all in a good time for me.

Just read that back, he made me push myself, not him!
