Most appeared to be resting before having to face the day and its two tides - stoical might be a good description of their demeanour. I am endlessly fascinated by the scale, location and boldness of this installation - a local photographer produces a calendar each with with some stirring images of the Iron Men in all weathers.
Sorry, got carried away. This morning's run was grand: the wind had died down and the rain too, so I fitted in a mile or so on the beach as the angry orange sky announced yet more changeable weather.

With Puma, nice and steady, slow pace, mostly fairly flat and not too muddy, one detour due to flooding, 10 and a bit miles, legs now complaining, but still - cracking

I know I've not said very much on fetch, but I just wanted to tell somebody that I had a bloody excellent run today - nothing spectacular, but I felt amazing - after a week of feeling wimpy and pathetic. Woop Woop!!

swittle - forgot to answer before! i'm glad the iron men are stoical in the face of the coming winter.
i must go and visit them on one of my trips 'home'. my cousin had a picture of himself with them for his facebook profile pic for a while - it looked great!
