Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nice 10 mile in 1h28m, not used the river route for a while, amazing how a change of scenery can make it feel easier.
I am in Sept marathon training, Can I call 10 mile a long run?

Rollerman, if you are training for marathon then 10 miles is just a normal run :-) IMHO of course.

Anything over 16 yes that's gettig towards it BUT just my opinion and Pfitzinger & Douglas :-)

10 miles at 8:30 pace, first week of my NY marathon schedule comes to an end and no further injuries for me, which in itself is an achievement :-)

Is it not relative though, IanM? If you are aiming for a Sep. Marathon, Rollerman, 10 miles rates as a long run. Also, it implies you are fairly new to long-distance racing.

However, leafing through Pfitzinger & Douglas's well reviewed book, it is clear it is aimed at advanced Marathon runners - to whom 10 miles would not be a long run.
