Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Very tough, but very rewarding 17.5m LSR. I seemed to be permanently running into (a bitterly cold) wind. First LSR of the 08 prep for FLM.

Will have to miss the club run tomorrow as I fear, there's not likely to be anything left in the tank.

plstan, wise not to over do it. and sometimes difficult to hold back when you feel good again after an injury.

I did a rugged 11.15 miles cross-country (think fell) in very icy conditions. Terrible footing, couldn't keep any kind of reasonable pace. There were a few in our club who took spills, some actually gaining pace by sliding down hills. There were minor knocks and bruises , but nothing serious. I rolled my left ankle on a downed tree branch which was concealed by the snow, but managed to hobble on until it felt better.

A "Morning After the Night Before" run so was not feeling too hot!! Wind and Cold are a good way to get rid of the last vestiges of a hangover though :-)

Planning on wringing out my Smelly Helly into a mug later as I suspect today's sweat was 100% pure! Waste not want not :-)

First ever race! Had a wonderful time in Dewsbury - a bit chilly but the wind kept away until the end.

1 Hard work - but under 7 minutes for 2K - Happy with that on so little training
2 Fabulous - paced Evil Pixie to a 5 mile pb in very difficult conditions
3 NIIICE - 6 miles at an easy pace with V'rap.

All in all - a reasonable day! :)

Not as lovely as yesterday's BUT it was three miles longer at 20 miles and felt much easier. :-)
