Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Terrible... :-(

Weekly club run with Pocklington Runners. I found it really hard going tonight, my legs were stiff (I had a warm bath before going running in an attempt to losen them up) and I struggled with my breathing during the whole run!!! Still...I managed to do the run, so I'm chuffed with myself :-)

I think I'll take a couple of days off gym work and running and see if I can re-charge my energy ;-)

Not very good.

Got to the park lte again so had to cut the planned 22 miles short. Ended up doing 17.3 which was just as well becuase my shins were sore for the first lap of Richmond Park and fatigue kicked in on the last lap big time - obvious more tired than I thought I was

Great run today. I ran most of the Langdale 10K race route - fantastic scenery and luckily plenty of shade on a hot day :-) :-) :-)

I also aimed for my half mara race pace - 9:00 to 9:30 per mile - I can't pace for toffee - but amazingly it came out as 9:15 pace, fluke or what!!! :-) :-) Now all I need to do is repeat that pace, for 13.1 miles, most of which are off road. And up some big hills too.

Bloody hard!!! 12 x 500m, in the words of Fetch, "at the speed of puke". Nearly aborted after 7 but found a way to do the last 5 over flat terrain and held in there. Exhausted!

The run was fantastic but mainly because it was a run after an injury and was pain free.

KB - your training is impressive, fair play to you, big PB in May also for the marathon, any chance of persuading you to join me in Brussels for a go at 3:15?? Judging by your races, my guess is you live in Belgium?

Not good today - attempted intervals but the pace was all wrong and I was far too hot :-)
Still, an extra few miles done and my last run before Saturday's race :-)
