Banny
22/08/07 - 5.23m 47:44 After a few days off for feeling tired I struggled to get out again this morning and I dressed the worst. Long tee and running tights. Thinking it was going to be chilly, how wrong could I be? Very warm considering and now I've finished I feel ill. Big thing today was the wind, it was very strong at the first mile plus, then with it behind me for two thirds it was ok but the straight home was blustery, it hasn't been like that for a while, rains due. Yep As I ascended Hill Hill a few splatterings of rain hit me and as I neared home it was starting to rain. Upon finishing it was proper rain. Not nice. The run itself was ok, seemed to be ok, if a little lumbered but am out there if feeling like c***. Jog Watch - 1

I hurt myback (again) yesterday, so I went for a bit of recovery run to try and ease it off, hurts like hell this morning but I put that down to the 35mile drive to work, club meeting tonight, hope to be a bit looser by then.

One of the toighest hill sessions I have ever done. 3 sets of 6 laps of a third of a mile course - but this belies the fact that each 'lap' contains 3 bunny hops (small 2-3m hills) and 2 steep hills (although short). There is little respite as you are usually either going steeply up or steeply down. My legs were like Bambi's at the end. Total run was 9.5 miles, with 6.2 being the 18 laps of this hilly course.
I have tried mountain biking round it and the two hills are far too steep to cycle up!
11 miles slow scheduled today.

Great. I like running in the rain but this was a bit odd. It started drizzling as I went out and get progressively harder, cold rain being driven into my right hand side all the way out. By half way my right side was frozen and soaking wet whilst my left side was all but dry. Turned around and the rain eased and the wind changed direction a little, freezing my belly/
It felt so good to be running again - had two rest days but they have been stressful and tiring. Feel almost normal again now.

Sun Sun Sun. I love running in the sun. Feels so good to be out.
Did 14.67 miles at lunchtime, at 9:02 per mile. Will have to work late to make up the lost time, but well worth it. Must have come close to the world record for glugging a 2 litre bottle of diet coke when I got back (even though took some fluid on the run). A little sluggish after yesterday's hills.

Great. Slightly heavy left leg following allergy reaction to insect bite on Monday, and leg less swollen since run! But a very enjoyable run indeed.
