Seems sensible to me too - even if only to allow one to dry whilst being able to run the next day

Well if anyone is able to locate some size 11 Ravenna 3's I am all ears! I will keep checking ebay but the "major" online/offline shops all seem to be on 4 and 5. Scoured the sales but nadda :-(

So guess I should get fitted for a different pair, if I cannot get another pair of what I currently have. At least then I have options if these ones pack in.

Expensive though :-(

I have only twenty pairs of running shoes. And rarely run in the same pair for more than a couple of days. Keeps my bio-mechanics guessing! :-)

Rather sadly I found 2 pairs that souit me, Mizunos and Asics, I keep old pairs until I have a second pair in reserve, and even buy 2 pairs at once and wear them alternately, just in case....

This does mean I have 6 or 7 pairs at home....

I have in the last 10 minutes taken delivery of a pair of Brooks Pure Cadence. I got these proper cheap and will be road testing them over the next few weeks as a possible replacement for my GTS12's. This will take my active shoes up to a paltry 6! A mere amateur compared to others, and I have no reserve shoes either, at the moment anyway ;-)

Just to be contrary. I have just one pair of road running shoes (Brooks Adrenaline 12) that I wear for all training, parkruns and races. I'm on my 5th pair of those, previously I ran in Brooks Vapour. I usually run 4x per week, so shoes usually get a chance to dry out if they get a soaking.

When the time comes to replace, I run in the new pair (i.e. wear them for shorter sessions only) for 2-4 weeks before throwing out the old pair. I used to follow the "replace after 500 miles" mantra but my last two pairs have averaged over 800 miles.

I also have a pair of Asics Gel Lahar (goretex) for BMF sessions in the muddy park. I don't do any other off-road running.

Yeah they have 11.5 Duncan. The closest I have found to my 11's.
