Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hah, I did think the resounding answer would be that you lot all had loads on the go :-)

I use the Kanadia's each week for parkrun so was just using them as my back-up, but can't see myself doing 10+ mile runs in them. Ok, guess I need to get to a shop then! Wish I knew where those bloody Saucony had vanished to.

I have 12 pairs on the go.
Plus two pairs in boxes waiting to be activated.

Oh yeah, 5 more in boxes here too. When you find what you like at a good price, buy plenty :-)

I have run (the course of) a road half marathon in Kanadias.

But only once.

I'm like PtB in that I have a number of different pairs, that I wear once a week or so. The shoes that best suit my pronation cause blisters over 16 miles or so, but I wouldn't get the support I'd need for 50 milse a week if I wore the ones that don't cause blisters. Then there's the fact that my right foot overpronates wildly and my left foot is more neutral, so wearing shoes best suited to one leg constantly would cause issues with the other leg. Then there's a pair of lightweights for speedwork which I can't wear all the time because I'm too heavy, and the off-roaders, of which I have two pairs so I can let one pair dry out and still run the next day, and then there are some in a box...

I too have several pairs on the go for different purposes. Also I am a fan of the Ravenna 3s and I'm annoyed I didn't buy another pair to sit in a box until needed. They have just released the Ravenna 5s and so there are Ravenna 4s around at a decent price. I've just bought a pair of Ravenna 4s off ebay (used once) for £37 all in. Having done a very unscientific comparison against the 3s (i.e. just looked at them) I have concluded there is very little difference!

yeah I did wonder if the difference was large. I've seen a pair of size 11.5's but they are £70 :-(

The question was about having a second pair of "identical" race shoes (presumably in addition to the 13 other pairs in the spare room) not having more than one pair of shoes per se.

Seems sensible to me.
