Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That might be a red herring - Fetch's course interpolates between the points that you put into the route (9 clicks just got me 45 trackpoints in the xml)

yep, it does seem to do 'clever' stuff like that.

but it's still a lot less points than memory map. I am never able to d/l MM courses or routes to the 305 - it reports out of memory and truncates (helpful!) the course. Not been bothered to work out why yet - it works fine on the 301 and the Legend. If anyone knows and wants to save me the effort...

Phew. I've been standing on one leg for the last three hours.
Just looked at the Cambridge Boundary Run, which beeped exactly twice in 13.1 miles, once to say "off course" and two seconds later to say "back on course", and that has a trackpoint every 65 metres on average - even fewer than a Fetchtrack. Worked a treat.

you can get solar powered chargers and portable chargers that run off 4 AA batteries, both of which can provide enough power to get through MdS, so probably OK for a weeks walking too.

And if walking in the UK, you wil probably have chance to buy new AAs too.

There are generic USB car chargers around too that shoudl do the job.

Or take a laptop with a car charger and charge it via that?
