Hi
Has anyone had issues with their alert beeper getting too quiet to hear on their 305's? Or any Garmin for that matter!
I can't hear my splits!!

That is what happened tonight Matt. not so bad on the rests but, I want the efforts to finish on time.
Even sat hear I can hardly hear it when I switch it on and off. That is the limit of my troubleshooting skills

Uncanny - mine sounded like it was bleeping through water the other day.
I hope they don't replace it with an inferior 405.

easiest on Garmin TC.

Hi everyone. Does anyone here know how accurate the calorie counter is on the Garmin 305? On my last run - 9 miles - I, apparently, used 2,239 calories! I'm going to disappear at that rate. Using the HR monitor too. All user details have been entered and are correct, all other measured data appears correct e.g. distance, time, HR. thanks. Happy running.:-)

reasonably accurate I believe, but it is only an estimate using a standard formula for disance, time and weight. I would have thought an individual's physiology would alkso have a bearing on how much energy the body was burning
e.g. I woul dhave thought that 16 stone of muscles on the move would burn more than 8 stone of muscle with another 8 stone of fat attached since as well as being a weigh to be carried, the muscle is actively using energy.
But I would have thought the number is accrate enough for most people.
